CAIRO – 18 May 2026: Mohamed Abdel Latif, Egypt’s Minister of Education and Technical Education, departed for the United Kingdom on Sunday to participate in the Education World Forum 2026, held annually in London with broad participation from education ministers, senior officials, and policymakers from around the world.

The forum is considered the world’s largest annual gathering dedicated to education and skills development, bringing together ministers, senior government officials, international organizations, academic leaders, and private sector partners to discuss the future of education and exchange expertise on developing education systems.

Discussions at the forum focus on key issues including digital transformation, artificial intelligence in education, technical and vocational education development, curriculum reform, future skills enhancement, and innovation, while also promoting equity and inclusion in education.

During the visit, the minister is scheduled to participate in several plenary sessions and high-level bilateral meetings with ministers, international officials, and representatives of global educational institutions. The participation reflects Egypt’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and exchanging expertise in education and technical education development, while supporting the Ministry’s efforts to modernize the educational system in line with the latest international standards and best practices.

The visit agenda also includes extensive discussions with several strategic partners to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in developing pre-university education, technical education, teacher training, and digital transformation. These efforts support Egypt’s vision of building a modern education system capable of preparing future generations for the demands of the global labor market.

Egypt’s participation in the forum underscores its active regional and international role in advancing education and highlights its commitment to benefiting from successful global experiences and strengthening educational partnerships in support of the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030.
