Prime Minister of Burundi, his wife visit Grand Egyptian Museum

CAIRO – 13 May 2026: The Grand Egyptian Museum welcomed on Wednesday Burundi’s Prime Minister, Nestor Ntahontuye, his wife, and their accompanying delegation during their current visit to Egypt.

The guests were received by Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, who welcomed them and delivered a brief presentation on the museum, its unique archaeological treasures, and the advanced services it offers visitors.

The visit included the outer courtyard, the main atrium, the Grand Staircase, and the main exhibition halls, which comprise 12 galleries that narrate the history of ancient Egyptian civilization. The tour also included the King Tutankhamun Halls, which display the complete collection of the golden king’s treasures for the first time in one place through a unique interactive presentation.

At the end of the visit, the guests expressed deep admiration for the archaeological treasures and unique artifacts they viewed, praising the museum’s exhibition design and its outstanding execution.
