CAIRO - 13 May 2026: China’s policy toward the Middle East focuses on "establishing peace, encouraging dialogue, and maintaining objectivity to serve the region's people," Ambassador Liao Liqiang said Tuesday.

In an address to the High-Level Global South Media and Think Tank Forum at the Arab League headquarters, Liqiang described the Middle East as a vital partner in international development.

He emphasized Beijing's commitment to regional stability through mutual respect and shared interests.

The ambassador emphasizes expansing the Arab-Chinese partnership across the economy, technology, and cultural sectors.

He noted that communication between civilizations is essential for a balanced global future, urging media outlets and think-tanks to bridge the gap between nations.

The forum aimed to strengthen cooperation among Global South countries and broaden the scope of Arab-Chinese developmental and intellectual ties.
