CAIRO - 11 May 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi toured the New Capital’s Strategic Command headquarters on Sunday, where he lauded the discipline and high standards of Military Academy students.
Accompanied by Defense Minister Ashraf Salem Zaher and Chief of Staff Ahmed Khalifa, Sisi observed training programs for both military cadets and civil servants.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said the president stressed the importance of maintaining high-level technical and personal training to ensure national cadres serve state institutions efficiently.
During an interactive lunch with students, Sisi addressed domestic and regional challenges. He noted that the Iranian crisis and rising regional tensions have cast a shadow over the global economy and regional stability.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to Arab unity, describing the stability of the Arab world as an "indivisible shared responsibility."
Sisi concluded his visit by reviewing the academy’s evolving educational programs, stating that his frequent visits aim to personally monitor student welfare and the progress of state-led development in military education.
