Zad al-Izza convoy to Gaza - file

CAIRO - 6 May 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the 190th "Zad Al-Izza" (Provision of Dignity) convoy, carrying over 3,000 tons of aid to support Palestinians, early this morning.
 
The convoy, consisting of several trucks, departed for the Gaza Strip as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to the Strip.
 
The convoy carried approximately 3,700 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and petroleum products to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.
 
The Egyptian Red Crescent also provided the people of Gaza with essential supplies such as: clothing, blankets, tarpaulins, and tents to shelter those affected by the conflict.
 
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing has not been completely closed from the Egyptian side, and it has continued its readiness in all logistical centers, and its continuous efforts to bring in humanitarian and relief aid that has exceeded 960,000 tons, with the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers in the association.
