CAIRO – 11 April 2026: Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, presided over the Easter Mass on Saturday evening at Saint Mark's Coptic Orthodox Cathedral.
The mass was attended by a large congregation of clergy and laity in a festive atmosphere reflecting the joy of Copts on one of the most important Christian holidays.
A number of bishops, priests, and deacons took part in the Mass, joining Pope Tawadros II in the liturgical prayers of the feast in a solemn and spiritual setting inside the cathedral.
The cathedral witnessed a large turnout of Copts who gathered to participate in the Mass, alongside several public figures and representatives of state institutions. The scene reflected a strong spirit of unity, love, and national solidarity.
