CAIRO – 30 March 2026: The 167th humanitarian aid convoy entered the Gaza Strip on Monday through the Rafah border crossing, heading towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing.

An official source stated that the convoy’s trucks are carrying large quantities of food and relief supplies, including food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicine, personal hygiene items, tents, and petroleum products.

The source noted that the trucks are subject to inspection by the Israeli authorities before being allowed to enter the Strip.

Also on Monday, the Rafah border crossing received a new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip, the 27th such group. Their return procedures are being finalized in preparation for their return.

Sources at the Rafah border crossing stated that a team from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returning Palestinians, facilitating procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities, distributing return kits, and providing psychological support to the children.

In parallel, Egyptian authorities are preparing to receive a new batch of wounded and sick Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the 27th such group, for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health has established a medical point at the Rafah border crossing to examine arrivals, triage cases, and transfer them to Egyptian hospitals via equipped Egyptian ambulances.
