CAIRO - 28 March 2026: Iran's Red Crescent has said that strikes hit civilian areas across Iran as the conflict widened, with its chief Pirhossein Kolivand reporting "80 residential areas" had been bombed since night.
He added that 600 schools had been damaged or destroyed since the start of the conflict.
At a Tehran auto after‑sales support company that was hit by strikes, the centre's manager said 27 staff members were injured and one killed while 70 customer cars were lost.
The war, which began after U.S. and Israeli strikes on February 28, has spread across the Middle East, killing thousands and disrupting energy supplies, adding to inflation fears.
