All inmates in correctional centers granted exceptional visit in celebration of int'l women's day

CAIRO - 28 March 2026: The Egyptian Ministry of Interior granted all inmates in correctional and rehabilitation centers an exceptional visit on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in celebration of International Women's Day during the month of March, and in appreciation of the role of mothers and Egyptian women in society.

 

This step comes as part of the Ministry of Interior's commitment to providing all forms of support and care for inmates in correctional and rehabilitation centers. 

 

It also stems from the ministry's care to give inmates the opportunity to meet with their families on various official and national occasions, which contributes to strengthening family ties for inmates and achieving their psychological and social well-being.

 

This decision comes within the framework of the Ministry's commitment to upholding human rights values ​​and implementing a modern approach to penal policy that focuses on rehabilitating inmates and reintegrating them into society, and providing them with all forms of care, in line with the standards of the new Republic in the field of human rights.
