Sisi reaffirms support for Saudi Arabia in call with Tabuk governor

CAIRO - 20 March 2026: President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Saudi Arabia amid regional tensions during a phone call with the Governor of Tabuk, Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

In a Friday statement, presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy said the prince called Sisi to wish him a blessed Eid al-Fitr, expressing hopes for prosperity for both the Egyptian and Saudi people.

Sisi returned the greetings, praying for the wellbeing of the Arab and Islamic nations.

During the exchange, the president emphasized Egypt’s solidarity with the kingdom under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
