King of Bahrain receives Sheikh Al-Azhar, praises his role in serving Islamic nation's issues

CAIRO – 19 February 2025: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, received on Wednesday, at Al-Sakhir Palace, The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb.

Al-Tayeb visit to Bahrain comes with the purpose of participating in the "Islamic-Islamic Dialogue" conference under the slogan "One Nation, Common Destiny".

At the beginning of the meeting, the King of Bahrain welcomed His Eminence the Grand Imam and his participation in this blessed Islamic conference, wishing him success and guidance in order to achieve the desired goals, in a way that serves the issues of the nation, and enhances the values ​​of solidarity, cohesion and solidarity in facing current challenges.

He praised the efforts and good endeavors of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar in consolidating the concepts of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue, and achieving cooperation between peoples of different religions and cultures, and the high position that Al-Azhar Al-Sharif occupies in spreading the tolerance of Islam and its great values ​​of moderation, tolerance and love.

For his part, His Eminence the Grand Imam expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain hosting the “Islamic-Islamic Dialogue” conference, and for the efforts of the King of Bahrain in serving the issues of the nation, and promoting the values ​​of peace, coexistence, love, and cooperation among peoples and different cultures.
