CAIRO - 16 February 2025: Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa departed on Sunday for the United Arab Emirates to participate in the "IDEX 2025" International Defense Exhibition and Conference.

The exhibition is set to take place from February 17 to 21 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The minister emphasized that the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise and explore the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies.

"IDEX" serves as a global platform bringing together leaders, decision-makers, and experts in defense industries from across the world, where they will discuss ways to advance technologies to address the evolving challenges the world faces, as well as develop security and defense strategies that foster global peace.

The Egyptian minister explained that his participation follows an invitation from UAE's Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al-Mazrouei, and comes in line with the ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in various fields.

This includes the strong partnership between Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production and UAE’s Ministry of Defense in the military manufacturing sector.

The Ministry of Military Production will participate in the exhibition by showcasing models of its advanced products, including weapons, ammunition, equipment, and defense systems, all manufactured by military production companies using the latest global technologies.

This marks the fifth consecutive participation of the ministry in "IDEX," following attending the 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2023 editions of the exhibition.

Mohamed Sakr, media advisor to the minister of state for military production and official spokesperson for the ministry, noted that the minister is scheduled to meet with key figures and company heads attending "IDEX 2025."

The minister will also visit various national pavilions at the exhibition and extend invitations to the companies to participate in the "EDEX 2025" International Defense Industries Exhibition, which will be held in Egypt in December 2025.

The "IDEX," organized every 2 years in the UAE, serves as a showcase for the latest technologies across the land, sea, and air defense sectors. The 17th edition will feature a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and equipment developed by global defense sectors.

The exhibition is organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defense and the Tawazun Council.

A total of 1,353 exhibitors from 65 countries are expected to participate, with over 132,000 visitors anticipated. This year's exhibition, covering 162,000 square meters and featuring 41 pavilions, is set to be the largest edition to date.
