CAIRO – 14 February 2025: An official Egyptian source has denied reports claiming that Cairo receives fees for facilitating the delivery of aid, as reported by Al Qahera News on Friday.

The source clarified that Egypt provides approximately 70% of the humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip without receiving any fees. It emphasized that Egypt bears significant burdens to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Gaza amid the challenging circumstances it is facing.

The source further affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, highlighting the country’s firm stance in advocating for Palestinian rights and alleviating their suffering. Egypt also called on the international community to increase its support for the Palestinians and intensify efforts to help them overcome the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
