CAIRO – 10 February 2025: Egypt continues its humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, as the Rafah border crossing witnessed the entry of more than 150 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip on Monday, as part of the ongoing Egyptian efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Informed sources explained that the aid includes food, medical supplies, medicines, shelter materials, and other essential needs provided by international and Arab relief organizations, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The trucks are being transported through the Auja and Kerem Shalom crossings, where the aid is delivered to the relevant authorities inside Gaza to distribute it to those affected.
The Rafah crossing witnesses intensive daily movement to transport aid to the Gaza Strip, as part of Egypt's commitment to continue providing humanitarian support to the Palestinians.
The sources confirmed that there is full coordination between the Egyptian authorities and relief organizations to ensure that aid arrives quickly and regularly.
The sources indicated that the relevant authorities in Egypt are working to provide the necessary logistical facilities, including accelerating the procedures for the entry of aid through border crossings, and ensuring that transport operations into the Strip are not delayed.
This comes amid intensive efforts by Egyptian authorities to accelerate the pace of support, especially in light of the increasing need for relief supplies inside Gaza.
An official in the Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that work is ongoing around the clock to coordinate the entry of aid, noting that Red Crescent teams are working to manage the unloading and distribution operations and that there is continuous follow-up to ensure that the necessary needs are delivered to the affected population in Gaza as quickly as possible.
