CAIRO – 7 February 2025: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, held a meeting with members of the diplomatic and consular corps from the new and mid-level ranks.
This meeting is part of the Minister’s commitment to regularly engaging with diplomatic staff to gather their insights and suggestions concerning ongoing regional developments and to improve operational mechanisms.
The Minister emphasized the significant responsibility of the diplomatic and consular corps in representing Egypt abroad, particularly amidst the ongoing regional changes and unprecedented crises the region is facing. He underscored the importance of making concerted efforts to advance Egypt’s foreign policy priorities and national interests, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and efficiency.
Minister Abdelatty also highlighted the necessity for coordinated and cohesive collaboration between various sectors and departments within the Ministry and Egypt's overseas missions. This integrated approach, he noted, is crucial for the effective execution of tasks and ensuring Egypt's national security.
Additionally, he reaffirmed the Ministry's focus on empowering young professionals while also leveraging the valuable experience of previous generations in diplomatic work. He reviewed the Ministry's tradition of blending the expertise of past generations with the energy and initiatives of newer ones.
