RAMALLAH - 25 July 2017: Palestinian worshipers performed Dhuhr (noon) prayers at the closest point to Al Aqsa Mosque near and inside the Lions’ Gate in rejection of the Israeli recent measures at the holy mosque.

Al Quds residents continued their sit-in outside Al Aqsa Mosque, insisting that they would not enter the mosque until metal detectors and smart cameras that were recently installed inside are removed.

Israel removed metal detectors from entrances to Al Aqsa Mosque, but smart cameras are still attached in order to monitor Palestinian worshipers.

On July 14, Israel closed Al Aqsa Mosque for two days and installed metal detectors following clashes inside Al Aqsa Mosque that left three Palestinian youths and two Israeli soldiers dead.
