IMF keen on maintaining Egypt’s ability to remain stable despite surrounding turmoil

CAIRO - 5 November 2024: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is keen on maintaining the dynamic movement in Egypt as a pillar of stability despite being surrounded by many troubles, Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director said Monday.

 

In an interview with Extra News Channel at the Egyptian Museum, Georgieva said the world envies Egypt for its ability to remain stable. 

 

She praised Egyptian youth for believing in themselves and the future of Egypt.

 

She also praised Egyptian women after hearing several success stories and learning that many of them are the breadwinners of their families. 

 

Georgieva also said she was impressed that 100,000 volunteers helped Haya Karima initiative reach 35 million beneficiaries in the country.
