CAIRO – 22 October 2024: Ambassador to Helsinki Mohamed Ghoneim met with Director of Finnpartnership Brigit Navala ahead of holding 'Doing Business with Finland' by the end of this month.
The convention will focus on the sectors of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, education, information technology, telecommunications, and supply of food and agricultural products.
Finnpartnership is one of the programmes administered by FinnFund; hence, the talks between Ghoneim and Navala discussed the potential of collaboration on funding youth enterprises, linking Egyptian and Finnish start-ups together, and expanding bilateral trade.
It is noted that Finnpartnership already funds Finnish companies implementing projects with Egyptian counterparts in the sectors of new and renewable energy and import of agricultural products. The grants have amounted until present to €400,000.
