The event is organized by Business France in coordination with Egypt's General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt.

Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan Khatib is scheduled to participate in the opening session of the forum alongside Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs and Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Executive Vice President in charge of exports of Business in France Didier Boulongne, and French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad
Sophie Primas.

The forum is meant to review means of enhancing the Egyptian-French economic relations and exploring investment opportunities.

Khatib will deliver a keynote speech ahead of launching several sessions.

An Economic Outlook session will be attended by Michel Le Masson, Head of International Banking Development, Crédit Agricole S.A., and Magali Cesana, Head of Bilateral Affairs and International Business Development Department, French Treasury.

The forum will witness the signature of an MoU between Business France and Elsewedy Electric.

Also, another memo will signed between Business France and GAFI.

Business France said that Egypt has demonstrated a resilience unequalled in the region, a new wind is blowing over the country at the start of 2024. A number of donors have pledged their support for the Egyptian authorities’ clear commitment to reform, in the form of ambitious funding to consolidate current developments. This is the case, for example, with the IMF, which has increased the amount of its program from dlrs 3 to 8 billion.

There are more than 900 French companies operating in various economic sectors in the Egyptian market, with a total volume of investments exceeding 7 billion euros, according to the Egyptian Commercial Office in Paris.
