Egyptian president instructs accurate implementation of new tax package , performance follow up

CAIRO – 12 September 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting Thursday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up on the overall economic indicators and the government's efforts to enhance the investment environment, particularly in the industrial sector.

The president was briefed on a package of measures announced by the Ministry of Finance aimed at comprehensively developing and simplifying the tax system to improve the quality of services provided to investors.

The president gave directives to implement the measures in an accurate fashion and to continuously follow up on the performance of the tax incentive package to ensure the sustainability of the tax system and build trust, as the ultimate goal is boosting investment and the Egyptian economy.
