Egypt’s Sisi directs to provide production requirements for priority sectors

CAIRO – 29 August 2024: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah to continue efforts in providing the production requirements for priority sectors, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Mr. Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank on Thursday.

During the meeting, the President was briefed on both the Egyptian and global economic indicators, the performance of the banking sector, and the country's monetary policies.

They also discussed ongoing efforts to increase foreign currency reserves.

President Sisi also called for creating favorable conditions to attract more foreign investments and empower the private sector, in order to achieve the state’s comprehensive development goals.
