Egyptian president and Somali president - file
CAIRO - 13 August 2024: Egypt has inaugurated Tuesday a new headquarters of its embassy in Mogadishu, in light of the interest of the Egyptian political leadership in enhancing cooperation with the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sees the inauguration as an important step towards supporting and strengthening the historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Egypt is looking forward to opening new horizons to enhance cooperation in all areas of common interest, as well as working to raise the level of trade and economic relations between the two countries, especially after the opening of a direct line for EgyptAir Cairo-Mogadishu in July 2024.
