CAIRO – 7 July 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aty received a phone call on Sunday, July 7th, from Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, congratulating him on his new position.

 

During the call, Minister Fidan emphasized the strong and longstanding relations between the two countries, expressing his keenness to collaborate closely with Minister Abdel-Aty to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Turkey across various domains, said Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the Spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration in. a statement.

 

Minister Fidan underscored the importance of continued coordination to address regional and international challenges.

 

In response, Minister Abdel-Aty conveyed his appreciation to Minister Fidan for reaching out and extending his congratulations.

 

He praised the historical ties that unite the two brotherly nations, affirming Egypt's firm commitment under its political leadership to further elevate Egyptian-Turkish relations comprehensively.

 

Minister Abdel-Atty emphasized the significance of aligning views and positions on regional and international matters of mutual interest, both bilaterally and through multilateral frameworks, to advance the aspirations of both peoples and ensure regional security and stability.

 

Ambassador Abu Zeid added that Minister Avdel-Aty expressed eagerness to collaborate closely with Minister Fidan to strengthen bilateral ties and capitalize on the current positive momentum in their relationship. He highlighted the increasing pace of joint coordination and ongoing communication on issues of mutual concern.
