FM receives calls from GCC chief, Greek, Bahraini FMs

CAIRO – 4 July 2024: Foreign and Emigration Minister Badr Abdel Aati received phone calls from Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani who congratulated him on his new position as Egypt's top diplomat, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said on Thursday.

Badawi said he looks forward to maintaining cooperation between Egypt and the GCC to enhance Arab solidarity and achieve prosperity for Arab peoples as well as confront common Arab challenges, according to Abu Zeid.

Gerapetritis hailed relations between Egypt and Greece, wishing to further boost bilateral relations and benefit from the flourishing Egyptian-European relations.

The call covered a number of bilateral projects and cooperation within the framework of the tripartite mechanism grouping Egypt, Greece and Cyprus as well as the latest developments of Gaza war, the spokesman said.

The talks between the Egyptian and Bahraini ministers highlighted the depth of bilateral relations and the desire to continue to foster them for the benefit of the two countries' peoples, he added.
