CAIRO – 2 July 2024: Official sources announced, Tuesday the most prominent names nominated for Egypt’s new Cabinet reshuffle with more than 13 new ministers included. The new Cabinet will take the oath on Wednesday and hold the weekly meeting.
Egypt’s new Cabinet formation lead by PM Mostafa Madbouly as announced by the sources include the following ministers:
Sherif Farouk minister of supply
Osama al-Azhari minister of endowments
Maya Morsy minister of social solidarity
Sherif El Sherbini minister of housing
Ahmed Kojok minister of finance
Badr Abdel Aty minister of foreign affairs and immigration
Hassan El Khatib minster of investment
Adnan El Fangary minister of justice
Sameh El Hefny minister of aviation
Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
Rania Al-Mashat minister of Planning and International Cooperation

Maya Morsy who is expected to be announced as minister of solidarity is one of the new names that was announced within the new cabinet, here is the most important things you need to know about her:
- Dr. Maya Morsy assumed her duties as President of the National Council for Women on February 1, 2016
- The third president of the National Council for Women since its establishment in 2000
- The youngest woman in terms of age to hold this position
- Worked as head of the regional working group for women’s empowerment programs and policies at the Regional Center for Arab States of the United Nations Development Programme, from 2013-2016.
- Head of the UN Women office in Egypt from 2010 to 2013
- National Coordinator for UN Women Fund and Liaison Projects with the League of Arab States during the period 1999-2010
- She began her career in international organizations, including US Aid and the United Nations Development Programme
- Dr. Maya Morsy is a politician specializing in public policy and an advocate for women's rights and human rights
