CAIRO – 8 May 2024: Sudanese forces and political entities signed a document in Cairo, Wednesday that includes a vision for managing the transitional founding period in their country.

Number of the Sudanese political blocs have drawn up provisions and axes of the “Sudan charter powers” document, that includes a vision for managing the transitional founding period in the country, according to them.

The document emphasizes the necessity of achieving national consensus.

The signing Sudanese forces also stressed that a comprehensive inter-Sudanese dialogue without exclusion is the only option for national consensus and reconciliation without negative external interference.

International and regional mechanisms for resolving the political crisis in the country have to be at the same distance from everyone, they added.

According to the document, the government shall be founded on the meanings and purposes of good governance, which elevate the values of justice, equality, participation, and transparency.

During the transitional founding period, Sudan shall be governed by a federal system of three levels: the federal government level, the state government level, and the local government level, the document stated.
