CAIRO – 29 April 2024: Egyptian First Lady Entissar El Sisi received her counterpart of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirela Becerović on Monday in Cairo.

 

Both First ladies made a tour of the Egyptian Red Crescent's operations rooms, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.

 

“I would like to welcome Egypt’s dear guest, Mrs. Mirela Becerović, the wife of the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on her visit to her second country, Egypt,” said the Egyptian First Lady.

 

“Together, we toured the Egyptian Red Crescent's operations rooms, to learn about the humanitarian role played by the Red Crescent and the efforts of its dedicated volunteers,” Entissar El Sisi added, saying “I welcome Mrs. Mirala Becerović once again, and wish her an enjoyable stay in Egypt.”

 

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi received on Monday President of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović at Ittihadiya presidential Palace.

 

The official reception ceremony was held at the palace in the presence of Egypt's First Lady Entissar El-Sisi, and the First Lady of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the national anthems of both countries were played.

 

During a joint press conference, Monday President Abdel Fattah al Sisi said that Egypt was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it took its responsibility as a country that sponsors peace in the world through its participation in the peacekeeping and peace-building process in Bosnia and Herzegovina

 

Sisi also affirmed Egypt's firm stance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Cairo’s readiness to cooperate with Bosnia and Herzegovina
