CAIRO – 11 April 2024: In celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, gifts, children’s toys, and kahk cookies were distributed to stranded Palestinians residing in rest houses in the Al-Sabil neighborhood of Al-Arish city, located in Egypt’s North Sinai region.

The North Sinai Governor’s office released a statement indicating that the governorate has designated housing units within the Al-Sabil buildings in Al-Arish for Palestinians facing challenges in returning to the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, the government has arranged accommodation for injured Palestinians who have undergone treatment at hospitals in North Sinai, as mentioned in the statement.

On the first day of Eid Al Fitr celebrations, a total of 365 trucks of humanitarian aid entered the besieged Gaza Strip, amid ongoing Israeli bombing against the civilians in the strip, Al Ahera news reported on Thursday.

Through the Karam Abu Salem border crossing, 280 trucks entered the strip after an inspection process by Israeli occupation forces.

Meanwhile, 85 trucks crossed through the Rafah border crossing after being inspected in the Al-Awja area.

Israel has killed 33,545 Palestinians and injured 76,094 others since the outbreak of its genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health’s branch in Gaza on Thursday.
