CAIRO – 11 April 2024: On the first day of Eid Al Fitr celebrations, a total of 365 trucks of humanitarian aid entered the besieged Gaza Strip, amid ongoing Israeli bombing against the civilians in the strip, Al Ahera news reported on Thursday.

Through the Karam Abu Salem border crossing, 280 trucks entered the strip after an inspection process by Israeli occupation forces.

Meanwhile, 85 trucks crossed through the Rafah border crossing after being inspected in the Al-Awja area.

Egypt announced that it would ramp up the number of humanitarian aid trucks carrying food, medical supplies, and essential provisions for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, by increasing them to at least 300 trucks per day, starting on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

This directive aligns with the guidance of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, said Diaa Rashwan, Head of the State Information Service (SIS).

Israel has killed 33,545 Palestinians and injured 76,094 others since the outbreak of its genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health’s branch in Gaza on Thursday.
