No US proposal requiring Egypt to inspect Palestinians returning to north: source

CAIRO - 10 April 2024: An official Egyptian source denied that there is a U.S. proposal requiring Egypt to inspect displaced Palestinians returning to northern Gaza, according to Cairo News Channel.

The source said negotiations are still ongoing to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.

Palestinians killed by Israel in Gaza have amounted to more than 33,000 in about six months.
