HRW delegation visits North Sinai, praise Egypt's efforts towards Palestinians

CAIRO – 4 April 2024: Governor of North Sinai, Major General Muhamad Abdel Fadil Shusha, received on Thursday a delegation from Human Rights Watch, in his office at the governorate’s general office in the city of Arish.

The governor reviewed during the meeting, the role played by Egypt towards Palestinian brothers in Gaza Strip, where relief and humanitarian aid is received and brought into the Strip, in addition to receiving wounded Palestinians and their companions and treating them in Egyptian hospitals.

The governor pointed out that 20,000 Iftar meals were provided daily by the Egyptian Red Crescent and Misr Al-Khair societies to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The delegation praised the efforts made by Egypt in receiving and treating wounded and injured Palestinians in various hospitals, in addition to thanking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for facilitating the delegation’s mission.

The delegation pointed out to its visits to the wounded Palestinians in Al-Arish General and Bir Al-Abd Specialized Hospitals, appreciating the role played by the Ministry of Health.
