CAIRO - 14 March 2024: In continuation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian Air Force continued carrying out urgent humanitarian and relief missions in air-dropping tens of tons of food aid and urgent vital needs that were being to the northern Gaza Strip.

The mission has been ongoing over the course of two days, March 13-14, 2024, in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the number of countries participating in the international coalition.

This comes as Egyptian efforts continue to bring in more supplies and basic needs through the Rafah land crossing, in coordination with all regional and international powers and effective international institutions to support the fellow Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.

The Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program, Cindy McCain, said on Monday that famine is imminent in northern Gaza if the volume of aid entering the Strip is not significantly increased.

McCain stressed that there is an urgent need for 300 trucks of food supplies to enter the Strip on a daily basis, explaining that the program is sparing no effort in efforts to provide sufficient food aid.
