CAIRO - 11 March 2024: It is no secret to anyone Egypt's clear and historic position on the Palestinian cause, and its swift response to the attempts of liquidating the issue since the outbreak of the heinous war on the 7th of last October.

Egypt has declared its complete rejection of the crimes of the Zionist occupation and the violent bombing of civilians and hospitals, which claimed the lives of thousands of children, women and the elderly. The occupation forces launched violent bombardments to eliminate the Palestinian factions as a reaction to the faction's attack that took place on October 7th, and their detention of a group of Israelis.

The Egyptian state spared no effort to stop the war on the people of Gaza from the first moment, and continued to provide humanitarian aid in various ways.

After the Zionist occupation army obstructed the entry of humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing, Egypt began air dropping the aid on Gaza in order to reach them faster and better. Egypt also received the wounded and injured, and provided them with treatment in addition to urgently performing required surgical operations to them.

The Egyptian state also sought judiciary pathway by submitting a historic pleading before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), documenting all the humanitarian crimes committed by the Israeli occupation army against the people of Palestine throughout the occupation time span, especially during the brutal war since the seventh of last October.

Egypt's firm stance

Tariq Al-Bardisi, an expert in international relations, confirmed that the political leadership was keen to send aid by land and air and had a firm humanitarian vision that had no room for doubt.

In a special statement to Youm7, Al-Bardisi praised the great Egyptian role in the Palestinian issue and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s firm position against harming the land of Sinai and preserving the unity, sovereignty and safety of Egypt.

Al-Bardisi further hailed Sisi's insistence on adhering to international legitimacy in all his steps and directives.

For his part, Representative Essam Hilal, Undersecretary of the Constitutional and Legislative Committee in the Senate, confirmed that the Egyptian state has never abandoned the Palestinian cause throughout the ages, and to this day it stands supportive of the people of Palestine in their cause, which has been evident since the first day of the war.

Hilal added in a special statement to Youm7 that the Egyptian state spared no effort to help our Palestinian brothers in various ways.

He pointed out that there are ongoing attempts to reach a humanitarian truce in Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan, and to stop the brutal war against the people of Palestine.
