CAIRO – 10 March 2024: Egypt's Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli issues the executive regulations of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW).

 

The law no. 171 of the year 2023 regarding the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) aims at achieving sustainable development goals through concerted societal efforts, especially after President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi declared 2022 as the year to civil society.

 

In September 2023, President Sisi endorsed the law, which was published in the official gazette.

 

The National Alliance for Civil Development Action is the first alliance of its kind in Egypt. It includes the General Federation of Associations, all regional and specific federations, and the most prominent leading civil society institutions and associations with well-known efforts and successful experiences in helping the limited inside the country.

 

The National Alliance for Civil Work for Development participates in the national dialogue with the National Academy for Training, and has contributed to supporting the social protection umbrella with 9 billion pounds.
