Egypt’s Sisi exchanges greetings with Arab leaders on Holy Ramadan

CAIRO – 10 March 2024: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received greetings on the holy month of Ramadan from several leaders of Arab countries of Iraq, Qatar, the UAE, Tunisia, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

 

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended Ramadan greetings to President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, during a phone call today. President El-Sisi wished the people of Iraq lasting security and prosperity. The Iraqi President valued President El-Sisi’s gesture, praying Allah Almighty to grant the two brotherly countries all goodness, protect the Arab and Islamic nations and bestow blessings and prosperity upon them.

 

Meanwhile, President Sisi made a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani to greet him on the holy Ramadan, wishing blessings and prosperity for the Iraqi nation.

 

Also, President Sisi spoke over the phone with Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. President El-Sisi and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying Allah Almighty to bless the two countries as well as the Arab and Islamic nations with goodness and prosperity, grant the Arab peoples enduring security and stability, and accept their good deeds during these blessed days.

 

Additionally, The Egyptian President spoke over the phone with President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying Allah Almighty to bestow all goodness upon the two countries and the entire Arab and Islamic nations and to grant the brotherly peoples of Egypt and the UAE lasting security and prosperity.

 

President Sisi received a phone call from Emir of Tabuk Region, Prince Fahd Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who extended his greetings to the President on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying Allah Almighty to bestow blessings and all good upon the two countries as well as the Arab and Islamic nations.

 

Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi appreciated the call and extended his sincere wishes of all good and prosperity to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke over the phone with President of Tunisia, Kais Saied. The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency, Csaid President El-Sisi and the Tunisian President exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, praying Allah Almighty to grant the brotherly Egyptian and Tunisian peoples and the entire Arab and Islamic nations all goodness, peace and prosperity in this blessed month.

 

Furthermore, President Sisi made a phone call with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, where the two leaders exchanged congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawki Allam announced that Monday, 11 March 2024, is the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan of the Hijri year 1445.

 

Dar Al-Iftaa sighted the Ramadan crescent moon, which means that today, on Sunday, is the last day of Shaaban month, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar.

 

Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and UAE, also announced Monday the starting date of the holy month.

 

On this occasion, Dar Al-Iftaa congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people as well as people in all Arab and Islamic countries.

 

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is one of the five pillars of Islam where Muslims fast by refraining from eating or drinking throughout the morning hours (from dawn to sunset) of the 29-30 day month.

 

It's noteworthy that Ramadan typically begins approximately 10 to 14 days earlier each Gregorian calendar year compared to the previous year.
