CAIRO – February 11, 2024: Cairo Metro's Line 3 commenced operations with adjusted temporary schedules on Thursday, with stations opening at 6 AM.

 

According to an official statement from the Ministry of Transportation, this temporary schedule will be in effect until the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

 

The company responsible for the operation and management of Line 3, along with the Cairo Light Rail Transit (LRT), clarified that the temporary adjustment in operating hours from Adly Mansour Station to Roud El-Farag Axis is part of the preparations for the remaining phase of the third Green Line.

 

The Ministry of Transport is gearing up to inaugurate five new metro stations in the third phase of Line 3. These stations include Bolak El-Dakrour, Cairo University Metro Station, as well as three underground stations: Tawfiqiya, Wadi El-Nile, and Arab League.
