He pointed out to benefiting from the international expertise available in this field.

This came as Madbouli presided over on Tuesday a meeting on forming a national council for localizing the technology of manufacturing electronic chips.

The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, CEO of Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA) Ahmed el Zaher, Chairperson of the Industrial Development Authority Nahed Youssef and a number of officials of bodies concerned.

Madbouli gave directives to proposing a plan with determined executive steps on the issue to pave the way for referring it to the national council for localizing technology of manufacturing electronic chips, asserting the importance of coordination between the bodies concerned to put this plan and benefit from the potentials of the Egyptian Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) with this respect.

During the meeting, Maait reviewed the exemptions that can be granted to the investors in this industry to support the efforts exerted to the localize electronic chips industry.
