CAIRO – 27 January 2024: President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Egyptian handball team on their remarkable victory at the African Men’s Handball Championship held in Cairo.

The team secured their ninth championship title in the tournament's history, marking their third consecutive win and earning their ticket to the highly anticipated 2024 Paris Olympics.

President Sisi expressed his admiration for the team's outstanding performance, hailing their heroic efforts throughout the tournament. He specifically recognized the exceptional leadership of the technical staff.

Egypt won the African Men’s Handball Championship on Sunday after defeating Algeria 29-21, bringing down the curtain on the tournament that took place in the Egyptian capital from 17-27 January.
