CAIRO – 22 January 2024: General Coordinator of Egypt’s National Dialogue, Diaa Rashwan, said that 140 recommendations had been submitted from the Dialogue to President Abdel Fattah al Sisi.

He added that the government, during the past few days, presented an ‘executive plan’ as a way to implement the outcomes of the national dialogue.

He added, in televised statements to CBC channel, that the government mentioned in its plan the details that should be done executively or legislatively for the recommendations to be implemented. The plan also sat a period range from one month to 9 months for the complete implementation.

Rashwan explained that the National Dialogue received this document [plan] from the government and that it will be discussed in the first coming meeting for the Board of Trustees. ‘We will also follow the time periods that the government has committed itself to implement the outcomes of the first stage of the Dialogue recommendations” Rashwan stated.
