Egypt's FM Shoukry congratulates newly-appointed Kuwaiti counterpart on assuming his post

CAIRO – 20 January 2024: Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has made a phone call to his newly-appointed Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, to congratulate him on assuming his post.

Shoukry extended his best wishes to the Kuwaiti foreign minister, emphasizing the depth of the bilateral ties between both countries.

During the conversation, the Egyptian top diplomat expressed his commitment to continuing collaborative efforts to enhance bilateral relations and expand their horizons, as well as to strengthen joint Arab action.

In response, the Kuwaiti foreign minister expressed his appreciation for Shoukry's king gesture. He emphasized the importance of ongoing bilateral coordination and consultation to develop various areas of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in regards to Arab, regional and international matters of mutual interest.
