World leaders congratulate Egypt’s Sisi for new term of Presidency

CAIRO – 18 December 2023: World leaders congratulated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for winning a new term of presidency on Monday.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi secured another presidency term for additional six years after winning the 2024 Presidential Elections with 39.702.541 votes or 89.6% of total valid votes, according to the National Elections Authority.

Arab leaders of the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Palestine congratulated Presidency Sisi, wishing him progress and achieving developments of Egypt.

Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani congratulates President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for winning a new presidential term.

In a telegram Sheikh Tamim wished Sisi success and prosperity, and for the fraternal relations between the two countries, continued development and growth.

King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, congratulates President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on “renewing the trust placed in him by the Egyptian people and electing him for new term in presidency”

On this occasion, King Hamad bin Isa praised the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt within the framework of their distinguished bilateral relations, stressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s constant keenness to continue developing and strengthening the bonds of these established relations between the two countries.

Jordanian King Abdullah II congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for victory of a new term in Presidency

King Abdallah II affirmed that his country will keep close coordination with Egypt on various issues, in a way that achieves common interests, strengthens Arab unity, and unifies positions to confront challenges.

The Jordanian King reiterated the need to continue working together to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and push towards finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue.

President of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulates President Sisi for winning 2024 Presidential elections.

"I congratulate my brother President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on his re-election as President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The UAE is determined to further build upon its strong historical ties with Egypt in service of the development and progress of our nations and people," Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said.

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, congratulated President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on his victory in the presidential elections, wishing him all the best.

Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq sent a cable of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on his re-election as President of Egypt.

The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, congratulated President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for winning a new term in Presidency, wishing him all success in his presidential tenure to achieve the ambitions and aspirations of the Egyptian people for more progress, prosperity and well-being.

King of Bahrain affirmed his country’s constant keenness to continue developing and strengthening the bonds and ties with Egypt.

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al Hariri on his X: Congratulations to Egypt and its good people for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s victory of a new term, which will certainly enable him to lead this country amidst the storms [crises] of the region.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen congratulated President Sisi on his victory of a new presidential term.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on his victory in the presidential elections.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on his re-election as President of Egypt. “"Your convincing victory in the election has become a prime example of the wide recognition of your efforts in addressing the current socio-economic and foreign policy challenges facing Egypt," said Putin to Sisi.

“It is hard to overestimate your personal contribution to building and strengthening the Russian-Egyptian strategic partnership. I would like to reaffirm our readiness to continue our constructive joint work to further develop the entire range of bilateral ties, as well as cooperation in international affairs, including within the BRICS framework,” said Putin to Sisi.
