They expressed keenness on expanding ties that date back to 1950, particularly in the fields of trade, agriculture, animal production, fish resources, civil aviation, information technology, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. In that context, Minister Pinto stated that his country had planned to increase its investments in Egypt in the coming period.

On another level, there was congruence in the visions of both countries on various regional and international issues, including the Palestinian Cause, on the front of abiding by international law and the principle of the peaceful settlement of conflicts.

That is in addition to supporting the right of self-determination of occupied nations, rejecting unilateral punishments not endorsed by the United Nations, and voicing the interests of developing countries.

The two ministers discussed in details and exchanged assessments on the Russia-Ukraine War, as well as the Gaza War, its repercussions on regional and international peace and security, and the much-needed humanitarian ceasefire.
