CAIRO – 19 October 2023: Egyptian students held Thursday on-campus demonstrations, at both public and private universities, to express their rage with the massive number of human losses caused by Israel among civilians in Palestine's Gaza Strip.

Students at Al Azhar University organized a rally in support of Gaza, which has sustained shelling for 13 days in a row. Also, physiotherapy students at Cairo University protested atrocities committed by Israel against Palestinians.

Similarly, Law School Students at Ain Shams University held a pro-Palestine demonstration. Likewise, Academy of Arts students chanted in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza Strip experiencing genocide by Israel.

The same initiative was taken by students at Al Shorouk Academy who chanted in support of Palestinians subjected to killing and homelessness in Gaza. Moreover, students at The British University in Egypt (BUE) protested against the murder and displacement attempts of Palestinians in the strip.

In the same context, students in Zagazig University protested against the massacres committed by Israel against Palestinians in Gaza and expressed rejections to their displacement.

Further, lawyers in Sharqia held a demonstration to condemn Israeli crimes against civilians in Gaza.

Protests also took place Wednesday in Mansoura University, Medical School of Cairo University, and the American University in Cairo as well as in the headquarters of the Journalists Syndicate and Actors Syndicate.

Most remarkably, the National Coalition for Civil and Developmental Work organized a protest, where members put on black clothes, in front of Rafah Crossing to call on peoples worldwide to pressure their governments to intervene to stop the killing in Gaza Strip and deliver humanitarian aid.

Members of the coalition called on social media users to share the tag of "Holding Out Until Aid Is Delivered," and to condemn the killing. They also performed prayers in absentia on the souls of Palestinian victims who have been falling since the start of aggression on October 8.

The more pictures and videos that come out of Gaza showing bloody and charred bodies of babies, toddlers, and children of all ages, the more the uproar amongst political and civil institutions, triggering protests in the country.
