Egypt's National Security Council rejects Israel's displacement policy, solutions at expense of neighboring states

CAIRO – 15 October 2023: Meeting of Egypt’s National Security Council, chaired by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi Sunday, tackled the ongoing military escalation in Gaza issuing six decisions that are:

 

Egypt would continue communications with regional and international partners to lower escalation and halt the targeting of civilians.

 

Egypt would intensify communications with regional and international rescue organizations in order to deliver the necessary aid.

 

Egypt stipulates that no solution for the Palestinian Cause but the two-state solution, and rejects the displacement policy and attempts to terminate the Palestinian Cause at the expense of neighboring states.

 

Egypt is ready to deploy any effort that would achieve pacification, and resume the peace process.

 

Egypt stresses that its national security is a red line and that there will be no lenience when it comes to its protection.

 

Egypt invites a regional-international summit to confer over the current events and the future of the Palestinian Cause.
