CAIRO – 13 October 2023: Judge Mahmoud Fawzi, head of the official campaign of presidential candidate Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, announced that the campaign members donated blood for the brotherly Palestinian people, who are under the Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip.

He added that Egyptian people’s support for Palestine is firm, at the humanitarian, Arab and national security levels,

Fawzi called on every Egyptian citizen who is able to donate blood to go immediately to do so for the Palestinians.

Cairo's Kasr Al-Aini Hospital, affiliated with Cairo University, has launched a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the "Al-Wafa" (Fidelity) Association for Egypt. The campaign aims to gather blood donations to support the Palestinian people enduring the relentless Israeli offensive. This initiative reflects Egypt's commitment to standing alongside the Palestinian brothers and sisters during these challenging times.

Additionally, the "Shariaan Al-Ataa" (Avenue of Giving) Association, based in Cairo, organized a blood donation drive in the vicinity of Ain Shams University. This event served as an opportunity for students, university staff, and local residents to participate in this humanitarian effort for Palestine.

The response to these campaigns has been overwhelmingly positive, with many individuals eagerly coming forward to donate blood in solidarity with the Palestinians.

Furthermore, Cairo University launched a blood donation campaign in Giza, collaborating with the "Ra'i Masr" (Egypt's Shepherd) Foundation. This campaign, which saw substantial participation from students, represents Egypt's dedication to alleviating the suffering of Palestinians through tangible acts of solidarity.

Egypt, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a statement on Thursday, inviting all nations and international organizations to provide humanitarian and relief assistance to the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to intense and sustained Israeli airstrikes.

Hamas' Qassam Brigades launched Saturday an offensive on Israeli settlements in the occupied lands by firing 5,000 missiles in 20 minutes, invoking airstrikes on Gaza that incurred scores of casualties and have not ceased until present.

Hamas fighters launched their military operation to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinians due to the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip and due to the intensive provocative actions by Israeli forces and settlers against the Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Israel has 1,203 martyrs and wounded 5,763 others in the Gaza Strip, while in the West Bank, the number of the martyrs reached 29 people and about 180 injured.

Israel announced that the number of deaths reached 1,300 Israelis and 3,300 others were injured.

Egypt warned against the serious dangers of the continuous Israeli escalation against the Palestinians when the Israeli forces stormed and attacked many parts of the occupied lands in Jenin of the West Bank.
