CAIRO – 12 October 2023: Egypt called Thursday, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on countries and organizations aiming for providing aid to the Palestinians in Gaza Strip suffering because of Israeli airstrikes, to send the cargos to Arish International Airport which has been designated by Egyptian authorities to receive international aid.

The ministry negated the closure of Rafah Crossing with Gaza Strip at any point since the beginning of the crisis, clarifying that the crossing’s basic facilities on the Palestinian side had been destroyed because of recurrent Israeli strikes, and as a consequence, it could not operate normally.

Egypt demanded Israel to refrain from targeting the Palestinian section of Rafah Crossing so it would be restored in a way that would allow providing support to Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated Thursday the figures of deaths and injuries in Gaza Strip and the West Bank. In the former, they recorded 1,354 and 6,049, respectively. In the latter, they amounted 31 and 180, respectively.

Egyptian high-profile security sources told Al Qahera News Tuesday that the Palestinian Cause is taking a turn that is the most perilous in its history, as there was an obvious plan to achieve the goals of the occupation embodied in pushing the residents out of the occupied lands by pressuring them to make a choice between dying or getting displaced.

The sources warned of the repercussions of the current crisis on the fundamentals of the Palestinian Cause and Palestinian rights. They added that there were players paving the way for the occupation’s plan by propagating proposals that are sullied historically and politically, and that were put forward by the occupation itself throughout the Arab-Israeli Conflict. The plan is moving Gaza residents to Sinai, the sources stated.

The sources noted that Egypt had and will repel the plan of moving Gaza residents to Sinai, and that even Palestinians refute such scheme out of a willpower to not concede their land, adding that the Palestinian Cause is being currently terminated.

Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi stressed Tuesday that Egypt was committed to Arab issues, and mainly the Palestinian Cause.

“Egypt’s National Security is my top responsibility and it cannot be compromised or forfeited under any circumstance,” President Sisi stipulated, adding that, "Egypt will not allow the termination of the Palestinian Cause at the expense of other parties.”

"Egypt is intensifying its efforts to halt the military confrontations, and as a result, save Palestinian lives," President Sisi said pointing out that, "the current escalation is so dangerous and has consequences that can jeopardize regional security and stability."

"We’re communicating with all international powers and influential regional parties to accomplish an immediate ceasefire and pacification that would preserve the lives of civilians on both sides," President Sisi stated.

Further, the Egyptian Coalition for Civil Work announced Tuesday preparing a caravan that consists of medical aid, food, and also doctors for Gaza Strip in fulfillment of the instructions of President Sisi.
