CAIRO – 28 September 2023: Ambassador Amr Al-Hamami presented his credentials to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as an Ambassador of Egypt to Turkey, on Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

 

Ambassador Amr Al-Hamami expressed to the Turkish President his pride in being the first Egyptian ambassador to Turkey after more than 10 years, stressing that he will work hard to strengthen Egyptian-Turkish relations and advance them in all fields.

 

For his part, the Turkish President conveyed his sincere greetings to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

Erdogan also stressed the common historical and cultural heritage between the two countries and their peoples, and the importance of restoring the cooperation between Egypt and Turkey at all levels.

 

He praised the level of trade relations, and highlighting the necessity of reaching broader horizons, as soon as possible, taking into account that Egypt is Turkey's first trading partner in Africa.
