Syrian FM presents to Egyptian counterpart efforts to deal with different crises

CAIRO – 15 August 2023: Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry received Tuesday his Syrian counterpart Faisal al-Meqdad who is taking part in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Contact Committee on Syria.

Minister Shokry stipulated the committee's eagerness for contributing to the resolution of the Syrian crisis, which had been lasting for years, providing help to the Syrian people, and protecting Syria's unity and regional safety.  

In that framework, the Egyptian and Syrian ministers discussed the aspects tackled in the committee's meeting. Also, Meqdad presented updates on Syria's circumstances, and the efforts deployed by the government to handle the crises of refugees, terrorism, and drugs, as well as cooperate with neighboring states in the realm of security, achieve early recovery, and reinstate sovereignty on Syrian territories.
