Egypt releases 119,000 tons of corn, soybeans worth $65 million: Agriculture Minister

CAIRO – 17 July 2023: Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture El-Sayed El-Qusair announced the release of 119,000 tons of corn and soybeans, worth about $65 million during the period from 7/6/2023 to 13/7/2023.

He added that the release included 70,000 tons of corn, worth about $25 million, and about 49,000 tons of soybeans, worth about $37 million, as well as feed additives worth about $3 million.

Al-Qusayr explained that the total that was released during the period from (October 16, 2022 to July 13, 2023) is 6.5 million tons, including 4.5 million tons of corn, 2 million tons of soybeans and feed additives, with a total amount of $3.4 billion.
