CAIRO - 22 October 2022: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that it aims to develop a strategy to improve public health indicators for citizens.

Dr. Wajdi Amin, Director General of the Chest Diseases Department, said that 381 medical teams working in chest hospitals were trained in the areas of automation of chest disease units, tuberculosis infection control, the basics of respiratory intensive care and the basics of respiratory functions.
He added that the preparation of strategic action plans is done through recommendations of scientific research, with the application of infection control methods in all chest units that provide services to tuberculosis patients, in order to achieve the sustainable development goals, which aim to eliminate tuberculosis epidemics by 2030.
